Although some bear hunts are done spot and stalk, most hunts are done with our houndsmen and their savage hounds.

New Mexico Bear Hunting License Information

All bear hunts require a New Mexico license purchased two calendar days before hunting. The license can be purchased over-the-counter at licensed vendors, New Mexico Department of Game and Fish offices or online through NMDGF.
